Hey Stefan,
I am glad you found something you enjoy, which you can do while you exercise. But the best results take a real focus & commitment. So, I will say, start playing football in real to make the most of it. Now I know, it ain't that easy as perhaps PS 2 sounds. But that's just a suggestion you might wanna try.
Love it completely to reach next level of exercising - getting results.

Hi Stefan
I honestly enjoy working out. I just love it. It is a great way to blow of steam and I love turning on music like Van Halen and just working out hard. I kind of agree with Jonas that you need to work out hard to get results. I personally like to take myself to the limit. I work out with free weights mostly. I feel I get good results with them. I do some cardio as I think that is important, but really enjoy weights. I do this at home have as I have the set up in the basement with a radio. Unfortunatly finding the time to work out has been a little difficult lately as I have been working on my blog instead of working out.

But I find when I work out the next day I feel focused and refreshed. I have to get back into it again. I really do miss it. Your posts reminds me of how much I like doing it. I am going to find the time now even if its just 30 minutes a day.

I strongly disagree with this being a good method, even though I definitely see where you're coming from.

Training is usually boring. But in all honesty, if exercising isn't making you exhausted at hell, it's just a waste of time.

There are many conflicting views in this area, whether cardio is really effectice or just a waste of time. I would say it's a waste of time, based on my personal experience, others experiences ( http://www.thedreamlounge.net/2009/05/29/exercising-10-minutes-a-week-vs-10-hours-a-week-results-profound-typical/) and science (http://www.bodybyscience.net/home.html/?page_id=18 NOTE: This is the most profound book I have ever found on strength training, I highly recommend it).

Using HIT-training you can actually workout 6-15 minutes a week, and get waaaay better results than spending 10 hours a week on a bike (in the case of 'steady state' low intensity training, there are a quite few downsides; no amplification cascade, lack of secretion of epinephrine and norepinephrine, no activation of lipase etc.) and you won't have to spend useless amounts of time with things you just want to get over with.

I'd also like to say that I'm in no way writing this to promote a certain training method to gain anything, it's just that I find it the most effective. But you wanted a time effective alternative, right?

This information isn't for the faint-hearthed though as it challenges most of the conventional knowledge in terms of "basic anatomy" and exercise which we've learnt since at a young age or through personal trainers with genetical benefits.

If you're interested in some more information on this topic, I'd be glad to point you to some great sources for learning more :)

'til next time,
Jonas

Wow, looks like you had to try a few things until you got this solution. I also agree with you that you need to keep your mind busy on something else, it makes it easier and you even forget how long you have been busy for.
