I’m not really fond of reading books…infact i hate to read..i used read my regular books also only when its exams time

But i know am doing wrong and need to read if you want learn

It usually takes about 350-400 minutes to complete a books with under 300 pages. By reading 60 minutes each day you will make it without problems. I’m sure most people spends more time watching TV each day and therefore most of you will manage to do it.

On the other hand one hour of reading may sound to much for many and maybe they should, as you suggested, read one or two books a month. Another alternative is to start listening to audio books.

You are right Nelson and I should have mentioned that in my post. Reading 52 books a year about one subject, for an example PHP, isn’t healthy and you need to vary your subject.

I used to read lots of books when I was studying in University. Nowadays, I usually read online ebooks and sometimes I need more time to finish the ebook. For me, read a book a month is my target.

A book a week may be a too big of a goal, especially for people who work full-time jobs, run websites/blogs. Maybe one book every two weeks for me.

you should be more specific as to what kind of books you are talking about .

i’ve always been a reader . i mean … since i was like 7-8 years old and learned to read . my first book ( real book , not story collections and such ) i read when i was 9 years old .

however … i have never considered a guide book , or topic specific book …. as a book . somehow they are not books to me .

what happens after reading 500 books from your field ? you become a dull person .

reading needs change . you need to read old fashioned books as well . stories .

they are highly underrated these days . but they do teach you about people . and ultimately this is what you are working with ( unless you are a computer technician or something like that ) .

everything techie you can pick up easy if you have the proper background and enough interest … but you can’t learn to deal with people that easy .

You do need a bit of determination to manage it. As I wrote in my post I recommend you to start reading at least one book a month. If you schedule some time every day before going to sleep, you’ll see how easy it gets.

I guess we all have differences to our families, which sometimes makes us wonder.

Wow, a book a week is way to much to ask of me. I’m not a big book reader and get bored most of the time. I will try my best to start reading more and see what happens.

BTW, the rest of my family are big book readers. I guess I was adopted
